St. Peter Greathouse and Botanical Gardens is at 6A St. Peter Mountain Rd. Part of a French plantation built in the 1800s, the restored manor is surrounded by 11 acres (4.5 hectares) of landscaped botanical gardens with an elevated nature trail. An observation deck 1,000 feet (305 m) above sea level provides a panoramic view of more than 20 islands. Caribbean artwork is displayed throughout the house.
Mountain Top, the highest point on the island, offers duty-free shopping and banana daiquiris, the signature drink said to have been invented here in the 1940s.
Food is available Monday through Saturday for dinner.
