AAA Editor Notes
Confederate Memorial, on the w. side of Arlington National Cemetery off McPherson Dr., was erected by the United Daughters of the Confederacy in 1914 to honor their dead and to symbolize a reunited North and South. The graves of Confederate soldiers and veterans who died in the Washington, D.C., area are arranged in concentric circles around the monument.
