Fantastic location, clean, I would stay there again. Rate was reasonable given it was DC.
Pros: FItness center was clean. Enjoyed the Skytower restaurant. I wanted to shift from valet parking to self parking and that was handled with ease. Although there was some confusion withe valet parking (see 'con'), the valet staff was polite on a day where parking was insanely busy.
Cons: The internet was inconsistent in its range and support - kept going out and i had to logon from the bathroom one day. No cookies when I checked in, i could have gone back to get one later, would have been nice to have someone come up with them. I reported that the plugs in my lamp were not working and was told that I could have the lamp swapped out the next day. The next day I was told that the plugs in the lamps were problematic and there would be no replacement and to use the plug strip. That was fine but i feel that the maintenance staff at night was not in tuned with the maintenance staff during the day - they should share across shifts. There was confusion with valet parking, they 'checked me out' the first time i picked up my car. I switched to self-park after that. I did not like the layout of the information book in the room - i prefer a bulleted type of information notebook since the paragraphs seemed like i had to read a book to get my information. The different sections should have bolded titles and the important information bulleted, not read in paragraph format. I had to read alot to find out about the internet and basically it told me to call another number. I would have liked more information about neighborhood restaurants (takeout, ethnic, etc).

Pros: Large suites.
Cons: Bathroom was filthy around the base of the tub and baseboards and the tile around tub needed to be repaired w/grout - but instead was smeared messily with caulk. A large area of the wallpaper was coming loose on one wall. TV wouldn't hold a station. Lobby was a zoo when we arrived, and there was a long wait to check in.

Pros: The hotel was up to date and clean.
Cons: The room struggled to stay cool. We experienced this at the other hotel we stayed at in DC as well.
