Pros: The location was perfect for our vacation into Washington DC. The Metro station was only a block away. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was an added bonus with lots of choices.
Cons: I wish the pool hours were different. I understand that it isn't open all day every day due to having a lifeguard on sight. Pools open all day are just a nice bonus.

Pros: Good location. Close to airport and provided airport shuttle. Comp breakfast was typical of a Hampton Inn. Rooms also were typical for a Hampton Inn. Breakfast hostesses were very polite and worked hard to keep the breakfast stocked.
Cons: Some of the front desk staff were not overly friendly. Very businesslike, but not chatty and didn't smile much. Had to pay $20 per night to park a car in the limited underground parking lot. I thought that was a bit high. Our toilet malfunctioned, but it was repaired fairly quickly. Our room was not cleaned until after 3:00 pm one day. That was a little awkward.

Pros: The location was very close to Ronald Reagan International Airport. It was easy to get to.
Cons: Paying for parking was not a plus. There were a limited number of parking places. Additionally, there was very little room to unload bags out front. The breakfast area was very crowded and not the cleanest. Staff had a hard time keeping up.

Cons: Housekeeping was the worst we've ever experienced. Every day there was something glaring that hadn't been cleaned/attended to. One day one of the beds simply wasn't made. One day the toilet hadn't been cleaned. Basic stuff. And we were not messy in the least. This happened every day. The front desk staff was exceedingly rude. Whenever we asked a question they were rude and curt.

Pros: The location is very convenient - despite having to cross Jefferson Davis Hwy. to get to the metro. (Be aware that traffic lights seem to be only a suggestion in this area. Pedestrians need to be extra careful.) The surrounding area is very walkable, with plenty of great restaurants. The breakfast at the hotel, was very good, with a nice range of options. The staff was really friendly.
Cons: We were given a room with a broken A/C unit, so it was quite uncomfortable for the first couple of hours. (the maintenance man said the unit was frozen) When we were moved to a different room, it was like a downgrade - smaller room... stained curtains... much worse view. That was disappointing.
The lifeguard, on duty at the pool, kept leaving (seemingly to do laundry) -- we felt uncomfortable being there unsupervised, since we were told that, legally, there must be a lifeguard, so we ended up not really being able to enjoy the pool.

Pros: $6.50 taxi ride to the Ronald Reagan airport at 3:30am. Hotel shuttle available at 4:30am. Metro stop Crystal City is one block away. Good location and neighborhood. Legal Seafoods (yum) and many other restaurants one block in the opposite direction. Awesome hotel for the price, and I'm very picky about hotels.
Cons: Most of the staff were helpful and freindly. The morning clerk seemed to have his family at the desk and was more interested in talking to them than helping me. The little in my bathroom flickered. Black out curtains let me sleep during the day. Not much bad to say.

Cons: When asking where to have dinner close by, the receptionist was very rude, condescending and did not offer the brochure that gives a map and areas of interest. Another guest provided us with this information.
