Henricus Historical Park is off I-95 exit 61A; take SR 10 (W. Hundred Rd.) .3 mi. e., Old Stage Rd. 2 mi. n., Coxendale Rd. .7 mi. e., then .9 mi. s. to 251 Henricus Park Rd. Site of the second successful English settlement in the New World, Henricus was established by Sir Thomas Dale in 1611. Interpreters dressed in period costume re-enact everyday tasks and provide insight about life in the early 1600s. A nearly 5-mile hiking trail runs through the Dutch Gap Conservation Area. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.

Hours: Tues.-Sun. 10-5. Last admission 1 hour before closing. Closed Jan. 1-15, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas.
