Traveling as Couple
Pros: Beautiful old traditional hotel in a beautiful setting. Hotel is in top shape. Plenty to do at the hotel and in the surrounding area. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: We had trouble figuring out the temperature setting. We should have asked someone for help-- but we didn't. Also, we were there on a Thursday which is a down time-- so, some of the staff was not there.

Pros: Love this beautiful historical hotel with all it's charm and character! The outdoor pool was wonderful for some family fun time . The spa garden was an amazing experience and well worth the extra money. Tea time in the great hall is a must if you visit.
Cons: A bit pricey but a wonderful experience.
Group Traveler
Pros: The staff was fabulous. Can't say enough about them. Several asked if we needed help finding our way around. The hotel was vey large so it was easy to get turned around. Rooms clean. Hotel grounds was beautifully maintained. Would go back again.
Cons: I didn't like the food. For the prices we paid which I didn't mind paying, I expected it to better than what it was. Meat was very dry, bread dried out, Caesar salad was made of kale and my daughter doesn't like kale and was expecting romain lettuce.

Family with Teens
Pros: Beautiful place, impressive building, tons of amenities (at a cost). Bathroom was gorgeous, marble floor; beautiful room and the best bed ever. Jefferson's Bar and Restaurant was excellent and far more reasonable than the dining room.
Cons: The major complaint is the add-on cost of using every single perk of this place. There is a 15% "resort fee" automatically added to your bill, which includes NOTHING. It's just a fee for the privilege of being there. The indoor pool is included.
