Luray Caverns is at 970 US 211W. Up to 10 stories tall, the massive chambers contain a variety of formations all in beautiful natural color. In the Cathedral Room is the Stalacpipe Organ, which is purportedly the world’s largest musical instrument. It uses specially tuned stalactites to produce music of symphonic quality. Hour-long guided tours take visitors along lighted and paved walkways, past towering stone columns and crystal pools.

Daily 9-7, June 15-Labor Day; daily 9-6, Apr. 1-June 14 and day after Labor Day-Oct. 31; Mon.-Fri. 9-4, Sat.-Sun. 9-5, rest of year.
