National Sporting Library & Museum is at 102 The Plains Rd. The 6-acre site features two facilities that highlight the literature, art and culture of equestrian, angling and field sports. Built in 1999, the library contains more than 26,000 books from the 16th to 21st centuries, while the National Sporting Art Museum, in a renovated 1804 Federal-style mansion, features exhibitions of American and European fine animal and sporting art.
Temporary exhibitions, lectures, seminars and other special events are offered regularly.
