Children's Museum of Richmond-Chesterfield, in the Winterpock Crossing Shopping Center at 6629 Lake Harbour Dr., features hands-on exhibits that focus on problem solving and creativity. Included among the fun interactive displays are an art studio, a theater/stage, a safari animal train, a climbing station, and sand and water play tables. There's also an enchanted forest area geared toward children ages 2 and under.
The centerpiece of the museum is Main Street, where kids learn real world concepts through role playing activities in a bank, a diner, a veterinary clinic, a bait and tackle shop, a grocery store and the Transportation Station, which features a restored fire truck and a city bus.
