Siege Museum is at 15 W. Bank St. The human side of the Civil War is presented through exhibits depicting the lives of the citizens of Petersburg while under siege. A 20-minute film shows the contrast between the city before the war and as it was during the 10 months preceding Gen. Robert E. Lee's surrender. Note: The museum is undergoing renovations and is closed to the public; phone ahead for updates.
