Reedville Fishermen’s Museum is on US 360 in the historic district. The museum comprises the Walker House, a restored fisherman’s home, and the Covington Building. The latter contains three galleries—one showcases the museum's permanent collection, one houses panoramas and the last features rotating exhibits and a special KidsKorner with hands-on activities. An outdoor display features traditional wood boats and equipment. Other exhibits include a working boat shop and a model shop with an extensive miniature railroad layout. Three restored fishing boats are tied up to the dock. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
$5; $3 (ages 60+); free (ages 0-18).
Hours: Tues.-Sat. 10:30-4:30, Sun. 1-4, May-Oct.; Sat. 10:30-4:30, Sun. 1-4, mid-Mar. through Apr. 30 and Nov. 1-early Jan. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas. Phone ahead to confirm schedule.
