The grand historic hotel was built in 1882 and features Tudor-style elegance on the hillside grounds and the grand lobby. Guest rooms feature modern fittings that borrow styling from the historic era. A glass walkway connects the hotel to the downtown and market area. Be sure to walk through the conference center to see the wall of "hokie" stone, and don't forget the hotel's complimentary cookies.
