I appreciate pet friendly hotels, but there was someone right next door with six small dogs in their room. The ridiculous noise level when these dogs were entering and exiting their room was very disruptive, and there was also a urine smell emanating from their door. I suggest the hotel not allow so many pets in one room and perhaps monitoring the pet situations more closely (get stench under control)! I stayed in the hotel for over three weeks and they were there the whole time. On a bright note, breakfast provided each morning was fresh and plentiful.
Pros: Very friendly and accommodating staff.
Cons: Stayed in non-smoking wing but there was awful stale smoke smell in hallway!
Pros: Beds were super comfortable
Pros: The room was very efficient. It had utensils and all needed items in the kitchen and the rest of the room was very clean.
Cons: Room was kinda compact but it's ok.The t.v. could have been a little more up to date also. The heat wasn't working, I called the front desk but no one ever came but I didn't make a big issue out of it.
Pros: The location- the employees were very courteous- professional
Cons: Breakfast was good the 1st day ,but the same every day for 5 days was
family with young children
Pros: The staff

Beware! Overcharges galore!
Pros: It was a calm, quiet environment. The employees were friendly and attentive, the kitchen well equipped, the room recently remodeled, hotel built in 2006 I believe, and the room, pool area and hotel grounds well manicured. Adequate laundry area (4 washers and 4 dryers). The hotel is dog friendly. We had to leave early and free breakfast was ready at 6 am. Bathroom had a small vanity with drawer space, bed was comfortable.
Cons: Be advised, if leaving a day early, tell the desk clerk or you will be charged a set fee for the night. We had to leave early and fortunately I told the desk clerk the day before. However, the morning I left $235 was randomly added to the bill and I was overcharged for the room and not the $139 booking.com advertised. The desk clerk said she could not remove the $235 nor could they tell me what it was for. They said booking.com gave them the charges and said I would have to take it up with booking.com, show proof of the agreed room rate and only the manager who was not on site could remove the $235. Also the charge for the room was listed as $159 and not the $139 as booking advertised, plus Virginia state tax and an occupancy tax. I was charged $159, $145, $145 and $139 for 4 nights I stayed. Ultimately, the manager removed the additional charge of $235 stating it would take 7-10 days to reimburse, but I would not correct the room overcharge. I am still owed $32 plus state and occupancy tax. The hotel blamed booking.com stating they could not see what booking.com was charging, then said booking.com changes the rate day to day, didn't I know that..., and asked if I had proof to show them what the charge should have been. The whole thing was a "shell game" (confusing and clearly I would not get my money back) and the room overcharges were never resolved. It appeared that this Marriot and booking.com do not have a clear understanding and the employees didn't know how to deal with it. Last the room was advertised as a queen "suite" but it the room had a queen bed, kitchenette, small (no pull out) sofa and no separation. Just a regular room. No pull up area in front of the hotel to unload, all parking was filled - suggest they reserve these for incoming guests. Pool area was small 6 lounge chairs and two round tables with 4 chairs each. Not for for big groups to gather.
Very Comfortable stay
Pros: My entire stay was rewarding and comfortable
