Historic Crab Orchard Museum & Pioneer Park, 4 mi. w. on US 19/460, highlights Appalachian heritage, pioneer life, the Revolutionary and Civil wars, local Native American history and animals of southwest Virginia. Items on display include a horse-drawn hearse and a Model T Ford as well as 18th- and 19th-century weapons, tools, furnishings and a diorama of a 500-year-old Native American village. Within the park is a settlement containing 14 log and stone buildings.
