This hotel was decorated in Art Deco style in 2008. The location was convenient for access to the ocean, boardwalk, and convention center.
Pros: We loved the ambiance of this historic hotel. The high ceilings and décor were great! The front desk staff and managers we spoke with were very anxious to help us have a great stay. They listened to all our concerns
Cons: The roof-top deck was in need of repair and some updated furniture. My friend and I were trying to enjoy the evening breeze from the roof, but had to leave due to other hotel patrons smoking incessantly. Our room had a bad motor in the A/C unit. The part was on order, but we had to contend with very loud whining noises for the duration of our stay unless we shut off the A/C completely. The stopper was not hooked up in our sink and our shower lever was missing from the handle.

Pros: Great location right in the center of the main beach and boardwalk district. Room was very clean and updated. I usually wake up with a headache when staying in a hotel bed, but slept soundly and woke up fine here.
Cons: There was a ceiling tile in our room with a sizable patch of mold/mildew growth. However, the room felt significantly cleaner than the three other places we've stayed at in the area in this price bracket. The room itself was quiet, but in the bathroom we could hear other rooms well enough to make out their conversations.
