Classic Historic. Family-owned and -operated since 1939, you can't escape the history at this former lodge set on green lawns that roll toward the river. The storied dining room, staffed by warm and gracious servers, features mahogany paneling and a vaulted ceiling. The signature dish is fried fantail jumbo shrimp, but other classics include she-crab soup, steaks, oysters, and prime rib.
