AAA Editor Notes

The Historic Trades Sites are throughout the Colonial Williamsburg Historic Area, off I-64 exit 238. Collectively, the practiced trades replicate an 18th-century production system. More than 70 artisans—including brickmakers, coopers, milliners and silversmiths—offer insights into early American society and technology. The trades sites produce the materials used in the historic area's reconstructions. Guests can work in the brickyard and learn about the skills and training needed to become a master tradesman.
Single-day Colonial Williamsburg admission pass $40.99; $20.49 (ages 6-12). Multiday Colonial Williamsburg admission pass (valid for 3 days through the end of the year) $50.99; $25.49 (ages 6-12). Other combination passes are available.
Hours: Hours vary seasonally. Some trades are demonstrated outdoors (weather permitting). Phone ahead for schedules.
