Inspector Pick (Classification): Fabulous food-including creative desserts draws me back again and again. In almost 15 years the food has never disappointed.
This stylish spot overlooks historic Merchants Square but is all modern inside, with crisp lines and creative gourmet fare that changes seasonally to offer fresh regional ingredients. The South is a heavy influence, but one will find the chef has also drawn inspiration from around the world. An excellent complement of wines is offered. Dishes often change but house specialties include house-made mozzarella, rabbit and biscuits, and pan-seared scallops. When the weather is pleasant, patio dining is available-both the full menu and a lighter menu.
