Sky View Observatory is downtown at 700 4th Ave. Located on the 73rd floor of the Columbia Center, this public observation area—said to be the tallest in the Pacific Northwest—offers a panoramic view of Seattle and its surrounds. Giant windows provide views of Elliott Bay, Mt. Baker, the Cascade and Olympic mountains, the Space Needle, Mt. Rainier (on a clear day) and other landmarks.

Wall murals, tablets, video displays and window plaques identify major sights and provide information about the history and geography of Seattle as well as the construction of the Columbia Center, one of the tallest skyscrapers on the West Coast.

Note: The box office is located inside the 4th Avenue Entrance, with a direct elevator for guests to the Observatory on the 73rd floor.

Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
