Western Gallery and Outdoor Sculpture Collection is on the Western Washington University campus, 1 mi. w. via I-5 exit 252, then s.w. on Bill McDonald Pkwy. to the visitor information center in the Campus Services building. Visitors will find 29 works by national and international artists focusing on various themes. The mostly contemporary sculptures are displayed throughout the campus. A self-guiding tour brochure is available from the visitor center. The Western Gallery, in the Fine Arts Complex, features changing contemporary art exhibitions. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
Free. Parking: $2 (per hour); $10 (all day).
Hours: Gallery open Mon.-Fri. 10-4 (also Wed. 4-8), Sat. noon-4, early Oct.-late May. Gallery closed between school sessions. Visitor information center open Mon.-Fri. 7:15 a.m.-8 p.m., mid-Sept. to mid-June; 7:15-5, rest of year. Outdoor sculpture collection accessible daily during daylight hours.
