USS Turner Joy (DD-951) Naval Memorial Museum Ship is n. of the ferry terminal on the Bremerton Waterfront at 300 Washington Beach Ave. The ship serves as an educational facility and as an exhibit honoring the US. Navy. The Turner Joy, a Forrest Sherman Class destroyer commissioned in 1959, saw action in the Gulf of Tonkin incident of 1964, earning nine battle stars. Decommissioned in November 1982, the ship remains close to its original configuration. A self-guiding tour provides access to most of the ship and involves climbing steep stairways; comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
