AAA Editor Notes
Heritage Flight Museum is at Skagit Regional Airport; I-5 exit 230, 3.3 mi. w. on SR 20 toward Anacortes, 1.1 mi. n. on Higgins Airport Way, then .5 mi. w. to 15053 Crosswind Dr. Founded by Apollo 8 astronaut Maj. General William Anders, this facility preserves and flies historic military “warbirds,” including fighters, trainers and liaison aircraft. A dozen planes are displayed, among them the “100-day wonder” of World War II, so designated because it was built from scratch in that amount of time. On monthly fly days visitors can watch these aircraft take to the skies.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
