Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge is w. on SR 904, then 4.5 mi. s. on Cheney Plaza Rd. to 26010 S. Smith Rd. The 15,468-acre refuge is an important breeding area for numerous species of waterfowl; tundra swans can be seen occasionally in spring. A public use area includes a self-guiding driving tour.
Admission Mar.-Oct. $3 (per private vehicle or per family arriving on bicycle or foot). Rest of year free.
Hours: Daily dawn-dusk.
