Federation Forest State Park is 18 mi. e. to 49201 SR 410. The park consists of 619 acres of old growth forest with nature trails and picnic areas. Exhibits at the Catherine Montgomery Interpretive Center illustrate the state's seven contrasting life zones. Gardens outside the center showcase edible and poisonous native plants and flora from six of Washington's nine biosystems.
Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted.
