AAA Inspector Notes
Set on the edge of a peaceful lake, the rustic main lodge and cabins resemble buildings of days past. Many guest rooms open onto a common deck bordering the lake. Pets and children are allowed in cabins and the campground but not in the lodge. Did not meet all AAA rating requirements for locking devices in some guest rooms at time of last evaluation on 06/06/2016. Facilities, services, and décor characterize a mid-scale property.

Pros: Breakfast set up and location and staff very nice. Serenity at the campsite, but i am sure that few campers this time of year contributed to that.
Cons: More light resources for canvas tent. perhaps i should have anticipated what i needed for back up better.

Pros: It was fun to have breakfast at the lake. Also a social event
Cons: I have stayed in luxury tented camps in Africa, that gave you far more value and luxury for your money. The fires were lit at night, by staff members. We had a central dining and sitting area to socialize in at night and morning8 with other campers/guests.All meals were included. You need to improve on the experience it has potential. But I was really disapointed with what we got for the amount of money we paid.

Pros: Nice and clean and very secluded and different....the small heater was a nice bonus, especially since we are approaching fall weather. Neva #6 is wonderful with the deck slightly over the water!
Cons: Exclusion of adults from lodge, who weren't staying in the lodge....I can understand the no kids part, but when I paid in excess of $250 per night, it would seem a good option for those of us adults renting the Neva Canvas Tents to be invited to enjoy the fireplace, deck and breakfast at the lodge if we cared to take the lodge up on the offer if extended.

Pros: The canvas cabins were gorgeous and so comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful with very personable staff hosts. The grounds of the resort were very nice with fun yard games and the resort grocery was great.
Cons: The manager was not helpful, and the location was very remote for travelers without a car (we walked on to the ferry to get there). They should better describe their location and available transportation in resort materials.
