Issaquah State Salmon Hatchery, 125 W. Sunset Way, raises 5 to 6 million chinook and coho salmon each year. Adult salmon return to the hatchery in fall. Visitors can take a self-guiding tour of the facilities. Outdoor exhibits explain the salmon life cycle and watershed characteristics. Wetland and native plant gardens are on the premises. Guided tours are available.

Hours: Grounds open daily dawn-dusk. Lobby exhibits open daily 8-4. Guided tours depart Sat.-Sun. at 11 and 1, early Sept. to mid-Nov.
