Cat Tales Zoological Park is at 17020 N. Newport Hwy. (US 2). This haven for endangered and exotic felines features North American bobcats, pumas, African lions, Bengal tigers, Siberian tigers, leopards and bears. Visitors older than age 8 can feed a lion or tiger and visitors older than age 6 can feed a bear with the help of a zookeeper. A guided behind-the-scenes tour also is available. Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$10; $8 (ages 13-18 and 55+); $5 (ages 1-12); free (ages 0-11 months, ages 55+ on Sun., the physically impaired and active military, fire fighters and law enforcement with ID). Behind-the-scenes tour starts at $75.
Hours: Tues.-Sun. 10-6, May-Sept.; 10-4, rest of year. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
