Padilla Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve and Breazeale Interpretive Center is .2 mi. n. of Bay View State Park at 10441 Bayview-Edison Rd. This 10,600-acre reserve protects habitats ranging from open marine waters, tidal flats, marshes and beaches to wooded uplands and open fields. It is home to a variety of fish, mammals and birds, including nearly 250 visiting bird species. An interpretive center has aquariums and interactive learning modules about estuaries and watersheds. More than 3 miles of trails lead to beach, shoreline and upland areas. Educational programs are presented periodically. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.

Hours: Center open Wed.-Sun. 10-5; closed major holidays. Trails open daily dawn-dusk.
