AAA Editor Notes
Beneath the Streets departs from 102 Cherry St. in the Pioneer Square Historic District. One-hour guided tours take visitors below street-level to explore underground passageways created after the Great Seattle Fire of 1889. Historical information and facts are covered along the way, including such topics as early settlers, Chief Seattle and the Duwamish tribe, the Klondike gold rush and the architectural significance of buildings in Pioneer Square.

Note: Tour participants must be able to walk on uneven ground and climb steps. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
