Chihuly Garden and Glass is on the Seattle Center grounds next to the Space Needle at 305 Harrison St. Bringing together elements of American artist Dale Chihuly’s work, the exhibition features drawings, glass pieces, large architectural installations and personal collections. Exhibits in eight galleries demonstrate how Chihuly pushed the boundaries of glass art in concept, execution and presentation.

The Glasshouse, a 40-foot-tall glass and steel structure filled with natural light, is based on Chihuly's lifelong appreciation of conservatories and showcases one of his largest suspended works, a 100-foot-long assemblage of flowers in hues of red, yellow, orange and amber. In the garden, trees, plants and flowers are a real-life backdrop for glass forms that mimic nature, from reeds and cattails to herons and seal pups that can be seen year-round.

Food is available. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
