Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park—Seattle Unit is at 319 2nd Ave. S. in the Pioneer Square Historic District. The Cadillac Hotel building houses a two-level visitor center that commemorates Seattle's role in the Klondike Gold Rush of 1897-98 through interactive exhibits, videos, gold panning demonstrations, a replica miner's cabin and general store and displays of gold bars, hardware, clothing and mining artifacts.
Daily 9-5, Memorial Day-Labor Day; 10-5, rest of year. Gold panning demonstrations take place daily at 10 and 3, mid-June through Labor Day. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Allow 1 hour minimum.
