National Nordic Museum is at 2655 N.W. Market St. in Ballard. This sleek, modern museum focuses on Nordic cultural contributions to life in the Pacific Northwest and the legacy of immigrants from the five Nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. Themes of openness, social justice, innovation and connection to nature are explored through historical artifacts, photographs, videos, art, objects and interactive touchscreens.
A gallery space hosts changing exhibits by contemporary Nordic and Nordic-American artists.
