Northwest African American Museum, 2300 S. Massachusetts St., is housed on the ground floor of the former Colman School. Displays at this small museum tell the experience of African Americans in the Pacific Northwest region (Idaho, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia). The Journey Gallery features a timeline from the present back to the pioneer era that highlights significant events and individuals.
