Seattle Metropolitan Police Museum is within the Pioneer Square Historic District at 317 3rd Ave. S. The museum recounts the history of law enforcement in Seattle beginning with the first appointed marshal in 1861 to the present. Police memorabilia on display include uniforms, weapons, two vehicles, photographs and various other items. An actual jail cell and the city's original 911 call center from 1970 are exhibited. One area of the museum features uniforms children can try on. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
