Northwest Railway Museum, 38625 S.E. King St., occupies the former 1890 Northern Pacific Snoqualmie Depot. A collection of railway rolling stock, including antique steam locomotives and diesel engines, stands west of the station. Guided tours of the Train Shed offer a close-up look at locomotives, passenger cars, freight cars and maintenance equipment as well as such exhibits as Wellington Remembered, Railroad Changed Everything and Railroad Built the Pacific Northwest. Seasonal themed train excursions also are available. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
Donations. Guided Train Shed tour $10.
Hours: Daily 10-5. Guided Train Shed tours Mon.-Fri. 10-4, Aug.-June; reservations are required. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
