The chef-owner has a real commitment to bringing the freshest seasonally available ingredients to her guests. Black cod, when available, is one of the most tender and delicately flavored fish, and Anna cooks it to perfection. This is not traditional Italian with spaghetti and meatballs, but more an Italian-inspired menu. Lamb's tongue? I gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised. The meat was marinated, butter tender and lightly lamb flavored and served over arugula with pickled chanterelles. My server had great knowledge of the menu, from who supplied the fish to where the vegetables were grown. She even pronounced the Italian words correctly. The restaurant has an intimate feel, is very casual and friendly and is extremely popular.
