W.W. Seymour Botanical Conservatory is in Wright Park at 316 S. G St. This small glass conservatory has a distinctive 12-sided central dome and contains unusual tropical plants, orchids and seasonal flower displays. Cyclamen, azaleas and primroses brighten the winter months; salvia, begonias and fragrant lilies celebrate summer; chrysanthemums and ornamental peppers put on a fall show; and the holidays bring vivid poinsettias. Wander among the flowers for half an hour and you're bound to walk out smiling.
