AAA Editor Notes
Palouse Falls State Park is 17 mi. s.e. on SR 260/261, then 2.5 mi. e. on a gravel road, following signs. In sharp contrast with the arid surroundings, massive amounts of water plummet nearly 200 feet into a deep pool at Palouse Falls, the centerpiece of this 105-acre state park. The flow peaks in spring and early summer. Layers of basalt lavas typical of the region have been exposed in the canyon below the falls.
Primitive camping facilities are available.
Camping is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
