Yakima Valley Museum is 1.25 mi. w. on Yakima Ave., then .25 mi. s. on S. 16th Ave., then .3 mi. w. to 2105 Tieton Dr. (next to Franklin Park). It features a large collection of carriages, coaches and wagons. Other exhibits include Yakama Indian artifacts, agricultural equipment, a working soda fountain and a hands-on children's center. The William O. Douglas Memorial Exhibit includes the U.S. Supreme Court justice's office. Children's Underground offers hands-on activities for kids. Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
