Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine

Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine is at 513 Ewart Ave. adjacent to New River Park. Veteran miners lead 35-minute underground tours of a vintage coal mine, providing visitors an opportunity to see how a turn-of-the-20th-century mine operated. A coal mining museum and coal camp homes, schools, a miner's shanty and churches provide a glimpse into life in a typical coal camp. Bring a jacket, as the mine is a constant 58 F.
