Coopers Rock State Forest is 8 mi. w. on I-68 at exit 15 (CR 73/12). The park comprises 12,713 acres of mountainous woodland. Among the forest's features are miles of nature and cross-country skiing trails and an overlook with a view of the 1,200-foot-deep Cheat River Gorge. Camping, fishing, hunting, mountain bicycling, picnicking and rock climbing are popular activities. Food is available April through October.
Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted. Food is available.
