AAA Editor Notes
Clay Center's Avampato Discovery Museum, downtown at 300 Leon Sullivan Way, has interactive science exhibits, an art gallery and a theater with a planetarium and large-format films. Science galleries include Milton Gardner's Earth City, which explores the forces that shaped the state; Health Royale, a gallery about health and wellness; Kidspace, a fanciful area for children under 5; Mylan explore-atory, hosting changing hands-on science exhibits and STEAMworks, a changing exhibit gallery. The art museum's primary focus is on 19th- and 20th-century paintings.
