Point Pleasant River Museum and Learning Center is at 28 Main St., across from Tu-Endie-Wei State Park. In a building that has been associated in some way with river traffic since 1854, the museum has interactive exhibits about life and commerce along the Ohio and Kanawha rivers, including displays about a bridge disaster and a flood, shipbuilding and shanty boats. Highlights are a working model of a pilot house, a boat simulator and a 2,400-gallon freshwater aquarium.
