Pros: The beds were comfortable. You got free breakfast and it's actually good food which is great. The rooms are a little small, escpecially the bathroom. There is no room to actually manuever around the rest room. They have an indoor pool which my niece loved, but ones you got up to the room there was no where to really hang anything wet to dry. Also the air conditioner in our room seemed to be leakin so the floor by the window was soakin wet and we didn't stand over there if we could help it.

Cons: The room smelled musty and moldy from the air conditioner. I would have changed rooms when I asked front desk but they were full. They gave me room fresher with which I blasted the air conditioner. Left message with morning and evening clerk. Friend had separate room. She complained of allergy symptoms in the morning.

Cons: I felt like I could smell stale cigarette smoke the moment I walked into the lobby. The carpet in the lobby and on the stairs that went up out of the lobby was stained and looked dirty with small particles of paper and dirt. The carpet in the hall of the floor with our rooms also looked dirty. In my head the question was "when was the last time this carpet was vacuumed?" I thought maybe it was just a crazy busy place and it looked dirty because we were catching it at the end of the day but it looked the same early the next morning and late the next day, etc. There was scuffs and scraps along some walls and door jams that added the feeling that the place was not very clean. When I inserted my hand in the hand-grab of the chair in the breakfast room it was covered in something sticky. I went to the public bathroom near the breakfast room and found the door handle also covered with something sticky. The selection at breakfast seemed limited and much less than the selection at another Choice Hotels property I stayed at just a few days before. The shower in our room had such a tiny, trickling flow that I had to shower in my daughter's room. We reported the poor shower flow upon checkout and the clerk said we should have let them know when we noticed it and they would have sent maintenance up to look at it. The problem was that we noticed this within about an hour of needed to depart for a funeral so we needed showers right then and had no time to deal with maintenance. The exhaust fan in my daughter's bathroom didn't work. The room's were a little tight with limited space on one side of each bed. There was no plastic bag for the ice bucket. Housekeeping showed up at our door around 10:00am when we were getting ready for the funeral and I asked if they could come back after about 11:45am and she said she would be gone by then.
