Watters Smith Memorial State Park is 2 mi. s. on Duck Creek Rd., following signs. The 532-acre park contains a replica of a log cabin built in 1796 by Watters Smith, the first pioneer in this area. The Smith family lived on the site until 1949. The park also includes a museum with historical items and memorabilia of the Smith family, a residence built in 1876 and several barns. Hiking trails and mountain biking are available.
