Carriage House Glass Museum is on a hilltop at Oglebay Resort. The museum houses a large collection of glassware produced 1817-1939. Exhibits include flint glass, lead crystal, cut glass and a 21-gallon Sweeney punch bowl. Also featured are glass-blowing demonstrations and a video about the history of glassmaking in the valley.
$7; free (ages 0-12). Combination ticket with Mansion Museum $10.
Hours: Museum open daily 10-5, Apr.-Nov.; daily 10-5 (also Fri.-Sat. 5-10) during Festival of Lights; Sat.-Sun. 10-5, Feb.-Mar. Last admission 1 hour before closing. Allow 30 minutes minimum.
