Carriage House Glass Museum is on a hilltop at Oglebay Resort. The museum houses a large collection of glassware produced 1817-1939. Exhibits include flint glass, lead crystal, cut glass and a 21-gallon Sweeney punch bowl. Also featured are glass-blowing demonstrations and a video about the history of glassmaking in the valley. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
$7; free (ages 0-12). Combination ticket with Mansion Museum $10.
Hours: Museum open Mon.-Sat. 10-5, Sun. noon-5, June-Aug; hours vary rest of year. Last admission 1 hour before closing.
