AAA Editor Notes
Henderson Hall is at 517 Old River Rd. The Italianate home and property reflect the life and times of the Hendersons, who owned it for generations. Friendly to presidents such as Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, the family proved instrumental in derailing Vice President Aaron Burr's plans for a separate country west of the Alleghenies. Highlights include notes from the Burr-Blennerhassett trial, Civil War papers, artifacts such as toys and farm equipment, and three Native American mounds, which are on the grounds.
