History Museum at the Castle is at 330 E. College Ave. The museum's A.K.A. Houdini exhibit recounts the life of magician Harry Houdini, who claimed Appleton as his hometown, and reveals how he performed his most spectacular illusions. The Tools of Change exhibit includes a reproduction of a 19th-century paper shop, an 1896 wire-weaving loom, a 1926 Model-T Ford, a 1920s newspaper composing room and a 1930s bulletproof bank. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
$7.50; $5.50 (ages 65+ and students with ID); $3.50 (ages 5-17); $20 (family).
