Wyalusing State Park is 6 mi. n. on CR X (N. Bagley Ave.) to 13081 State Park Ln. The 2,628-acre park encompasses the spot where Father Jacques Marquette and Louis Joliet discovered the Mississippi River. Prehistoric mounds lie on Sentinel Ridge, 520 feet above the Mississippi. Interesting rock formations, bluffs and lookouts are found throughout the park. Camping, picnicking, fishing, canoeing and hiking are popular. Pets on leash are allowed. Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted. Food is available.
Day-use fee $11 (per out-of-state private vehicle); $8 (per in-state private vehicle); $4 (per in-state private vehicle with resident senior age 65+). Annual permit $38 (per out-of-state private vehicle); $28 (per in-state private vehicle); $13 (per in-state private vehicle with resident senior age 65+). Hourly fee $6.
