Pros: Historic and an excellent, premium breakfast was included. Room was charming and quite spacious with a clean, nice bathroom. The central air poured out of large ceiling vents with no in-room controls all night long. It was like a bad Lake Superior wind. All that continous AC seemed unnecessary and loud - especially with the Inn right on a Great Lake! I felt like I was in the middle of the Gordon Lightfoot song about the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald. It was freezing in that room at night!
Cons: Th excessive AC in the rooms. The flowers and gardens were exceptionally beautiful.
Pros: We were surprised in a fantastic way that we actually stayed at The Chateau and we were honored to stay in the Tower Room. The view was gorgeous. We sat and had our coffee while observing Madeline Island and a Tall Ship in that harbor.
Pros: The bed was very comfortable
Cons: We thought we had booked a room at the rittienhouse but instead we were at another property with no restaurant, so we had to drive over for our breakfast.

Pros: Great staff, location and food service. Beautifully decorated. Will stay again.
Cons: Noisy, creaky floors as you would expect in an old building.
Pros: 2 course excellent breakfast with choices.
We also ate dinner in the Rittenhouse dining room and the food was superb, but reasonably priced. Better than some expensive big city restaurants.
Pros: Beautiful suite
Cons: Food a little bland, could have had more spice
Pros: The LARGE open covered front porch that faced the lake was by far the BEST of our stay. We sat out on the porch every evening after supper. Had pizza one night out on the porch. No bugs, just a great view of the lake.
Cons: It would of been better if we could of seen out ALL of our rooms windows. One was so dirty you could not see out most of it. When I tried to clean the window myself, I found out the dirt was on the outside of the glass.
Cons: Kind of old and stain
family with young children
Pros: All, especialy the atention.
Pros: Manager that night... Cool guy
Pros: Peace and quiet

Pros: The staff was so helpful and pleasant to be around. More than welling to make your stay great
Cons: It is not a bad comment but realize the stay is not cheap. Worth the money
Pros: Breakfast was very filling and VERY good
Cons: Breakfast was served restaurant style with quite a number of individual tables. In most B&B's, we've eaten at one large table, allowing us to converse with the other guests and learn something about them, which we enjoy.
